The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has published Gender Country Profiles of 82 countries of Asia and the Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe with the aim to facilitate formulation and implementation of projects in a gender responsive way, and has been conducting gender profile survey to update relevant data and information since 1996.
This survey was designed to collect basic information on women’s economic, social and legal status and critical gender issues and identifying gender perspectives, with the purpose of integrating the findings into the on-going JICA’s projects in Egypt.
IC Net carried out a set of interviews with key stakeholders such as government officials, staffs of donor agencies and NGOs, and collected data and conducted a policy analysis.
