Gakken Holdings Group Inc. and IC Net Limited have announced today the planned acquisition of IC Net Limited on September 3rd, 2019. From that day forward, IC Net Limited will conduct business operations under Gakken HD.
Gakken was established in 1946 by the late Mr. Hideto Furuoka. Gakken has published both books and magazines in areas of entertainment, hobbies, practical utilities, and cultural interests with “education” as its central focus. Gakken has been expanding its scope of business in developing the teaching materials and tools for preschools, kindergartens, and high schools. As a continuation of its educational goals, Gakken has launched and advanced into the business of elderly care and parenting support.
As a member of the Gakken HD Group, IC Net will continue to work to solve social issues around the world while making the most of the business foundation we have built since our founding in 1993. We will continue to maintain our original philosophy of creating a better world.
